Williamson County Household Hazardous Waste Cleanup Event April 4
Safe and Responsible Disposal of Household Hazardous Waste for Williamson County Residents on April 4 at the Taylor Expo Center
March 23, 2026 (Williamson County, Texas) - Williamson County and WM (Waste Management) will host a Household Hazardous Waste Cleanup Event to help residents safely dispose of hazardous materials on Saturday, April 4, at the Williamson County Expo Center, 5330 Bill Pickett Trail in Taylor, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Residents may bring the following household hazardous waste for safe disposal:
• Automotive & Batteries: Antifreeze, batteries, brake fluid, and transmission fluid.
• Household Chemicals: Cleaning products, acids, and lighter fluid.
• Lawn & Garden: Pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.
• Paint & Solvents: Paints, varnishes, and solvents (maximum 5 gallons per vehicle).
The following will not be accepted at the event:
• Hazardous & Industrial Waste: Agricultural chemicals, asbestos, dioxins, and radioactive materials.
• Explosives & Weapons: Ammunition, fireworks, and compressed gases.
• Electronics & Large Items: Appliances, tires, propane cylinders, and smoke detectors.
• Medical & Commercial Waste: Pharmaceuticals, medical items, and business waste.
Event Guidelines
• Volunteers will unload vehicles. Attendees are asked to remain in their vehicles.
• Each vehicle may go through the line only once.
• No walk-ups and no smoking at the event site.
• Wait times may be long. Attendees are asked to plan accordingly.
• Bring items in their original containers whenever possible.
• Keep all items sealed and separated to prevent leaks or mixing.
• No contractor or business waste will be accepted.
• Transport items safely, placing hazardous materials in the back of a vehicle away from passengers.
• Bins and baskets used for transport will not be returned.
